Welcome to Karaoke Star, our new training-style karaoke experience where you don’t just sing over the music — you step into it.
In these videos, the original lead vocals are gradually lowered while the music stays full and rich. Your job is to step into the space that opens up and carry the performance with your voice. You can pause, rewind, repeat sections, and lock in the phrasing at your own pace. It’s part rehearsal, part confidence builder, part creative challenge.
This format was designed for singers who want more than a basic instrumental track. It lets you:
• feel how the vocal sits inside the song
• test yourself as the guide vocals fade away
• shape tone, breath, and timing in real time
• know when you’re ready to go fully solo
If you’re serious about becoming a stronger performer — this is your playground.
Right now we’re starting with the best of Me T songs, and over time we plan to bring in guest artists and collaborators to expand the catalog. Our goal is to create a new path for singers to practice, explore style, and develop stage presence while having fun.

Karaoke Star is leveling up.
This isn’t just a show about singing along — it’s a search for the voices who are ready to step out of the crowd and become the next real recording artists inside the SMV universe.
Torus Media, the parent company behind sMV — Short Music Videos, is powered by Me T, and yes — we can sign artists for real. 2026 is our GET REAL year. The mission is simple:
Find the right voices.
Match them with our massive, original SMV music library.
Bring the best songs to life on a stage that keeps growing.
We’re building something new — a bridge from karaoke dreamer to featured performer. The show is designed for singers who aren’t afraid to take a risk, claim a song, and make it theirs. If you’ve ever felt like you could step into the spotlight… this is your chance to prove it.
Auditions will connect directly to our Karaoke Star training tracks, where you practice by stepping into the song as the guide vocals fade away. When you’re ready, you submit — and that’s where the talent search begins.
Some singers will be invited to collaborate.
Some may join SMV projects.
A select few may be offered the chance to sign with Torus Media.
We’re looking for heart, presence, originality, and courage — not just polish.
